Brainspotting helps to identify and heal stress/trauma/negative experiences that contribute to a variety of emotional and somatic conditions. Brainspotting is an advanced brain-body based treatment that uses your visual field to access and process stored stress/trauma in the subcortical brain (a part of the brain we cannot access simply by talking), which can lead to more rapid, long-lasting healing.

Talk therapy focuses on insight and understanding, while Brainspotting works directly with the nervous system. Brainspotting accesses the emotional part of the brain (subcortex), whereas talk therapy utilizes the analytical part of the brain (neocortex). Many clients find it helpful when they understand their patterns but still feel stuck emotionally or physically.

It's entirely up to you if choose to talk or not. Brainspotting is often a quieter process. You don’t need to explain everything in detail, as your experience is tracked internally and we follow what comes up at your own pace.
